What classes do you teach at Homegrown Yoga?
I currently teach on Thursday's; Aroma Yoga at Noon and Mandala Flow at 4:30 pm.
What inspired you to teach yoga?
Being a very anxious person, yoga had such a calming effect for me. It made me feel good about myself. At first, getting my certification was just about learning as much about yoga as I could. I wasn't sure if I could be a teacher. After a few months, I just knew that was what I was meant to do. I want to share with anyone who will listen how awesome yoga is! I want to teach classes. I am so happy to help people feel their best.
How would you describe your teaching style?
I enjoy many styles of yoga, but my favorite style of yoga to teach is vinyasa. I enjoy a lot of movement, with a lot of poses sprinkled in.
What is a fun fact about you?
I LOVE old school rap and hip-hop :)
What inspires you off the mat?
Off my mat, my friends inspire me. I have the best group of girlfriends, we have so much fun together and support each other through everything.
Where did you complete your training?
I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training through Pulse Yoga and Fitness.
What’s your favorite hot spot in Bellefontaine?
Brewfontaine- the asian salad with chicken is my jam.
Why do you feel at home on your mat?
I feel at home on my mat because it makes me feel whole and at peace. I feel more like myself there than anywhere else.
