What inspired you to teach PiYo?
I loved the similarities it had to yoga and Pilates and I knew it would be a format where participants would feel athletic and strong, yet beautiful and graceful at the same time. What classes do you teach at Homegrown Yoga? I will be teaching PiYo. How would you describe your teaching style? I enjoy motivating and encouraging participants to be themselves and take from the workout what their body needs in that moment. I offer multiple options, attempting to make PiYo accessible to all. My goal is to give participants an hour of time just for them! What is a fun fact about you? I donated a kidney in 2016 What inspires you off the mat? My family and friends who continually support me in all my craziness. A simple art session also leaves me refreshed and inspired! Where did you complete your training? I completed my PiYo LIVE training in Dayton, OH What's your favorite hot spot in Bellefontaine? Six Hundred Downtown Why do you feel at home on your mat? My mat has become an extension of me and a place were I am able to feel fearless. Coming to my mat regularly has allowed me to step out of my comfort zone and share my love of PiYo with others. It's one place I feel empowered, energized, and at peace. |
